Albatros, CIII

Currently there is no information concerning the the type of aircraft flown by KG4 in World War I. The Albatros CIII was one of the most widely used observation aircraft at the time of Voß's posting to KG4 and it assumed that this aircraft was used by this unit. As more information is made available, I will update this section of the site.

Most likely the C class aircraft would not have been adorned with any extra markings other than an assigned unit markings. The flamoyant color schemes were more common among the scout (fighter) aircraft. Many CIIIs went to the front with clear doped nartural linen as the image below suggests.
